Bethesda, MD, July 15, 2019 – MidCity, a Maryland-based, family-owned, values-driven real estate firm, is proud to announce that the firm’s Executive Vice President Jamie Weinbaum has been named Urban Land Institute (ULI) Washington’s 2019 – 2021 Chair. ULI Washington is among the most respected real estate professional organizations in the Greater Washington region. In his role, which became effective July 1, 2019, Weinbaum will focus on fulfilling the vision of ULI Washington’s Strategic Plan, engaging a growing and diverse membership, and impacting regional land use.
Weinbaum’s top objective is to increase member participation in ULI Washington’s Initiative Councils, which bring members together to advance best practices around regional competitiveness, housing, transit oriented development, sustainability, and placemaking. Weinbaum will also prioritize diversity and inclusion in ULI, as well as in the regional real estate development industry.
“I am honored to support this important organization as the incoming Chair of the Urban Land Institute Washington,” says Weinbaum. “ULI Washington has provided me with opportunities to connect and learn from a host of accomplished real estate industry experts. I am eager to deepen connections among members, expand our youth and leadership initiatives, and broaden our impact in addressing pressing land use issues.”
Jamie Weinbaum oversees development at MidCity, a real estate development company with a large multifamily portfolio in the Mid-Atlantic region, and a concentration of active development projects in Washington, DC. He is currently leading the redevelopment of RIA, a 20-acre, mixed-income, mixed-use redevelopment in Washington, D.C.’s Rhode Island Avenue Northeast Corridor.
